Some people find their calling in a courtroom. Others find it on a protest line. Mine? I found mine in the kitchen.

CasadCrissy started from a simple truth:I love food passionately but I love animals deeply.. For a long time those two things felt like they were in tension — but eventually I realized they didn’t have to be. Food is one of the most powerful forms of connection we have. Every bite tells a story, and I wanted mine to tell one worth hearing.

This bakery is my version of activism — one that invites people in rather than shutting them out. No guilt, no lectures. Just something delicious made with intention, and the hope that every treat sparks a little curiosity about where our food comes from and whose lives it touches.

I have been lucky enough to have baked for some amazing people including Joanna Gaines, on Silos Baking Competion(Magnolia Network, The Food Network and HBO Max) where you can see me making the cookies pictured. As well as Martellus Bennett, Charity & Derrick Morgan, Kendra Scott, LuluLemon and many more.

Because change doesn’t always look like a march. Sometimes it looks like a warm cookie, or a sweet slice of cake, shared with an open heart.
